HMS Joins FACS

A strategic blending of two like-minded companies that believe in science-based decision making, education and protecting public health.

Why the Addition?

Forensic Analytical Consulting Services, Inc. (FACS) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Hazard Management Services, Inc. (HMS, Inc). This exciting addition allows FACS to continue offering industry-leading industrial hygiene services while also adding extensive training services for our combined clients and industry partners.

The training division offers a full suite of AHERA courses for the management of asbestos. The division also offers courses on EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting guidelines for the presence of lead, as well as courses on mold, silica, PCBs, metals, soil contamination and OSHA safety training.

With 11 office locations and over 150 employees to better serve you, FACS is well positioned to be a trusted partner that can help support your environmental consulting and training needs.

Addition of Talent

With the integration of HMS into FACS, we’ve added over 20 leading professionals in the industrial hygiene industry. The expertise these professionals bring to the table will be a robust addition to our Hazardous Building Materials service line, which involves the testing, analyzing, and consulting on asbestos, lead, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). With the vast experience of both our existing experts & newly integrated experts, FACS will continue to offer the highest quality of services in the environmental health & industrial hygiene field.

Increased Reach

In addition to the talent that HMS adds to the FACS Family, HMS also brings 3 new office locations in the California Central Valley – Modesto, Bakersfield, and Fresno. No matter the location of the project, FACS will have you covered.

Addition of Environmental Accreditation Trainings

As a division of FACS, HMS will continue to offer the finest in environmental accreditation trainings. Offered courses are associated with asbestos, lead, mold, soils and other hazardous materials.

Typical clients for our trainings are consultants, sub-contractors, abatement contractors, construction management firms, building owners, architects, and maintenance workers. Most of the training courses that we offer are certified by regulatory agencies in the various lead and asbestos disciplines. In addition to our typical menu of courses, we also provide custom-tailored materials and general awareness trainings on a variety of environmental topics. While we’d be happy to host your team at our facilities for your trainings, we are also willing to come to your office or job-site.

The HMS Training Experts often participate on Federal and State regulatory advisory committees, provide input on regulatory changes, and present at industry leading trade or scientific conferences. The addition of the HMS Training Experts further increases FACS’ ability to better serve our clients & improve public health in our community and beyond.

[Mike Sharp] did an excellent job of keeping the class on topic, while simultaneously allowing for individual expression and sidebar discussions. A delicate balance, which [he] made seem effortless. . . I was impressed by [his] professionalism and breadth of knowledge.
