Workplace exposure to solvents has been a safety and health concern for many decades.  Aqueous solvents are often acidic or caustic and can cause irritation or burns when touched or when mists are inhaled.  However, organic solvents are typically more harmful.

Forensic Analytical Consulting Services’ team of industrial hygienists are expert in designing sampling strategies for both aqueous and organic solvent exposure assessments. We interpret results and make practical recommendations for controlling exposures. FACS’ clients range from building engineers and contractors to international corporations with manufacturing sites around the world. FACS has also assisted in litigation related to exposure to benzene, silk screen solvents and various chlorinated hydrocarbons.
