Barb Epstien, MPH, CIH, FAIHA, will be participating in the AIHce 2016 Roundtable, located in Baltimore, Maryland. She will be presenting on Formaldehyde IEQ Sampling Assessment Strategies.

A number of options are available to the industrial hygienist for assessing indoor environmental quality as it relates to installed products indoors. From an exposure standpoint, air sampling and analysis has been a commonly accepted technique, combined with information-gathering regarding the various materials and products installed in the subject space and environmental conditions. In addition, product materials are tested in controlled environmental chambers to assess their potential contribution to the indoor air. This presentation will summarize various testing options including the purposes of each along with some strengths and limitations of the various methods.
